Return home scuppered!!

Unfortunately it became apparent as soon as Hitchin arrived on Saturday they had issues with the Finchley playing surface, despite efforts from Geoff Otley and players to have the pitch in a playable state.

The referee who was able to review the pitch comprehensively did not share the same views as Hitchin and deemed the pitch playable. But despite the efforts of the referee and the Finchley players the fixture did not get underway.

This was a disappointment for the men in red and white who were looking to put in a good performance and regain some form shown before xmas.

The fixture will in all likelihood be played on the 22nd Feb now, so unless the grass is to long we'll be playing Hitchin then.

Next week sees Finchley travel to Welwyn with a 5 point win needed to get some momentum going into the final stages of the season.
