We would like to invite your school to enter a team (or teams!). The Festivals will be held on Friday 8th November and Friday 15th November. The festivals will be for mixed teams of Yr5/6 and Year 3/4.

Rugby is Everyone's Game, a sport for all shapes and sizes. We are proud to offer the chance to try a new sport to many kids who go on to find their sporting home in rugby, and we want to give as many children as we can, from all backgrounds, the chance to experience rugby for themselves. Already eight local schools have taken part in past Festivals.

Matches will be based on Tag Rugby. Tag rugby is a non-contact version of the sport, which provides an easy and low risk introduction to the sport of Rugby Union. No previous experience is necessary, and in fact we are keen to give a chance to absolute beginners! If you can run forwards and pass backwards, then you can play rugby!

Matches will be 6-a-side, with squads of 10. Rugby is a game for all, and we would encourage schools to enter not only their most able athletes, but also children who might enjoy playing a sport they have not tried before! We would expect mixed teams with, where possible, five boys and five girls on each squad. We want to include as many children as possible, so if you want to bring an extra one or two children, that would be fine, but we would expect a minimum of one adult to each ten children. Schools can of course enter more than one team.

The Festivals will be held from around 1030-1400 (depending on numbers) at our grounds on Summers Lane, Finchley, N12 0PD. The Festivals are for teams in the Under 11 category (Years 6 and 5) and Under 9 (ie Years 4 and 3) for matches against other local schools.
