Chair’s Update – September 2025

George Loureda10 Sep - 10:54

What a start to the season!

Thank you all for your continued support, energy, and passion.

I want to begin by thanking everyone who rolled up their sleeves for our Club Clean-Up Weekend (27–28 August). The transformation was incredible—we tackled a huge amount of work and set the stage for a vibrant return to rugby.

This weekend we launched with real momentum:
Girls Activity Day brought fresh energy and new players into our girls’ section. A big thank you to Ruairí O`Connell and the volunteers who made it happen.
• The Men’s 1st XV opened with a dominant 46–0 victory over Wasps RFC.
• The Women’s 1st XV – Finchley Phoenix returned with a thrilling 22–22 draw away to Enfield Barbarians.
• Our Mini and Youth teams are back in training, buzzing with excitement and ready for the season ahead.
