Last Friday's Celebration of Dave's Life was a truly amazing and emotional day for me and I am so overwhelmed at how so many of you came to the event.

I am sorry if I did not manage to get to speak to everyone but thank you all so much for turning up. Dave had struggled with his illness for a very long time but if anyone asked him how he was he would say "I am getting there" and would not discuss or let me mention to anyone exactly how ill he was - he was extremely brave right to the end. He truly was - as the hospital nurses called him - a macho man.

So thank you everyone for making the day so special - and his ashes were sprinked on the pitch just as a rainbow appeared which made it really special.
