The Colts put up a great performance on sunday against Rochford 100. Without 6/7 regulars and having to play 2 flankers in the centre positions Finchly took on a side that had beatenDatchworh the previous weekend by 62 - 0 in the National Colts Cup
While Rochford deserved their victory the margin of the result did not tell the full story. The Finchley forwards got the better of their bigger rivals all afternoon and had two try;s disallowed (grounding and pulled back for a penalty offence against our opponents as the ref had already blown his whistle.
Rochford's backline was the difference, they cut lines and played at a pace that was difficult to cope with especially with our experimental backline many playing our of position. Rochford's No 10 was a spendid palyer with incredible pace and movement.
Excellent performance from our lads - we are improving all the time ready for our 1st league game against a very strong Bishop Stortford side in weeks weeks time
