Finchley RFC U12 Girls proudly took centre stage at the StoneX Festival on Sunday, representing the club with immense pride, energy, and team spirit at the home of Saracens, StoneX Stadium.
From the moment the players marched onto the pitch through clouds of smoke and waving flags, it was clear this was a special occasion. Our girls embraced the big-stage atmosphere with confidence and excitement, embodying everything Finchley RFC stands for – courage, commitment, teamwork, and fun.
A Full Festival Programme
The festival featured a packed round-robin schedule across two pitches, with Finchley taking on a strong line-up of clubs including:
• Bishops Stortford
• Romford
• Harlow RFC
• Amptill
• Hadleigh / Bury St Edmunds
Across the morning, Finchley faced a series of fast-paced fixtures, demonstrating fantastic development, resilience, and sportsmanship in every game. The matches provided an outstanding learning opportunity against high-quality opposition and showcased just how far this group has progressed this season.
Big Club Energy, Big Finchley Pride
The atmosphere at StoneX was electric, with flags flying, supporters cheering from the stands, and the girls soaking up a truly memorable festival experience. Wearing the red and white with pride, the squad supported each other superbly and showed great character throughout the tournament.
This event was not just about results – it was about confidence, visibility, and inspiring the next generation of Finchley players. The day perfectly captured the growing strength and excitement around girls’ rugby at the club.
Thank You
A huge thank you goes to the coaches, team managers, and parents for their fantastic support on the day, and to the festival organisers for delivering such a brilliant, well-run event.
