Despite missing 5 players through injury, Finchley made it through their first HML league match against local rivals Hampstead RFC unscathed.

The longer match duration and larger pitch tested the fitness of the squad but they showed the benefit of their training to outscore Hampstead 6 tries to 4.

A number of players were playing their first full match for Finchley and a few were playing in different positions than they were accustomed to.

Whilst there is still a lot to work on, the coaches are pleased with the attitude and persistence of the squad at this stage of the season.

Well done to the squad, the next league match is away @ Biggleswade in two weeks time.

Tries scored by Finn Clarke (3), Victor, Ben M-L and JJ.
