Match Summary
The Valkyries started strongly against the Embers (the combined Eton Manor and Bancroft side), taking the ball to the opposition’s 5m line after a great run out on the wing by Immy, but were held up before they could score.

Momentum then shifted with a well-worked line-out try for the Embers, followed by a breakaway try from their number 12. The Valkyries had some brilliant runs, but support at the ruck needed to be quicker and the Embers jackalled on several carries. Clara got the Valkyries on the board with an unconverted try.

The second half was a much stronger display. The Valkyries were far better at the ruck and kept hold of the ball, scoring two converted tries through Clara and Ellie, both kicked by Grace. The Embers scored the last try, and the match finished 19-47.
