Complaints Procedure 2 of 3

2. Confidentiality and Privacy

We aim to respect the privacy of those who raise both informal concerns and formal complaints. We will normally seek your consent before making disclosures needed to deal with a concern or complaint properly.

Sometimes we will be unable to investigate concerns or complaints where that consent is not given, e.g. if we need to speak to someone else to investigate a complaint. We may also need to make disclosures to the police or the RFU to comply with our safeguarding policy or to protect or balance the rights of others. We are also mindful of our obligations under data protection (privacy) laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy .

Please note that harassment may sometimes be a crime and failing to act on knowledge of harassment may put others at risk. A wish to preserve confidentiality should not prevent a member of the club or any other person from reporting any matter to the police. Please refer to our Safeguarding Policy.
